Modern Handball arose in the mid-19th century and was organized in the manner in which it is known today by the Germans, in 1919.
Two seven-player teams pass, dribble and throw around a small ball trying to score goals. The team with the greatest number of goals wins the game, which lasts for two halves of 30 minutes each, with a ten-minute break.
